A sustainable solution for an extension to a rural farmhouse
Starki was appointed to develop conceptual designs for a sustainable and contemporary extension of a farmhouse in Pontardawe.
We developed a brief with the client, completed 3D Digital Twin and topographic surveys of the existing dwelling and site, liaised with planning services and building control, and planning consultancy to develop a rationale for a sizeable extension to the host dwelling.
Conceptual designs were developed in line with the Local Development Plan (LDP) and supplementary design guidance for the area, which is sited outside of settlement limits.
